Understanding the basic principles of linear perspective is essential for representational artists depicting objects in space. When an artist truly understands perspective it can become an expressive tool to be exaggerated, warped and utilised as an expressive force.
This one day workshop will offer a brief recap of the principles of single point and two point perspective before delving into the dynamism of three point and ultimately the concept and possibilities of infinite point perspective.
This workshop is tailored to artists who already have a general grasp of single point and two point perspective and, for those needing a little refresher I strongly recommended first taking my workshop “Intuitive Perspective”. As with my introductory perspective workshop there are absolutely No Rulers Required!
Materials required are an A2 drawing pad, regular drawing pencils and at least one coloured pencil. Other materials are provided at the workshop.
There will be a 45 minute break for lunch. Bring your own to eat in the grounds of St Wilfred’s or take a stroll into central Ripon.
